Once again, I have waited too long to try and dry my lavender. They have been in bloom for several weeks. I grow ‘Grosso’, would you say it is a good type for drying? This variety has stronger color.
Thanks for your comment, and absolutely, in fact Grosso is one of the more common varieties of Lavender grown especially for drying (you see it in huge scale drifts in France). there certainly is a ‘best’ time to cut lavender but if there are even just a few flowers still in vague bloom it’s not too late to cut dry them.
