Sadly another fox got in, and I lost my beloved, hand-reared cockerel, Chesney. Although I was away at the time, it’s another lesson learned.

Ah, that’s sad. Is it at all possible to keeps the fox away?
You gave him a good life. I still love that photo of him standing on your journal.
So sad he was such a handsome chap! how did the fox get in? has made me worried about my mini flock.
How sad!!! We forgot to shut the door to our chicken coop the other night and something climbed over the fence and killed one of our hens inside.
